About MeWelcome to my site.
Hi, my name is Sebrina. I am a wife, mother, (new grandmother), and teacher. I have 21 years of experience in the Florida public school system. I believe all children are special. I love creating things that help my students achieve success and collaborating with my readers by blogging.
I have taught students in pre-k through grade 5, both in a special education and inclusion setting. Working for over 8 years in the inclusion model, I developed lasting friendships and expanded my teacher’s toolbox of knowledge through reflection and collaborative opportunities.
Last year I changed things up a bit and taught a full time special education class for students on alternative assessments. These students were AMAZING and I look forward to continuing our adventure in the classroom this coming year.
I have a Master’s degree in Reading and Language Arts from Florida State University, have served as a member of our school Response to Intervention Team and Leadership Team, as team leader for our school’s Reading Professional Learning Community, and hold National Board Certification. I am the proud parent of two young men, four dogs, and 13 chickens. I thank God for my blessings, and pray for his guidance in meeting the needs of my students and family.
