Bring in a Little Sunshine!

Learning with craft supplies.

I’m excited to link up with Kim over at Life Over C’s as part of her Learning with Craft Supplies: 21 Days Series.  For 21 days bloggers will be sharing how to use a simple and different craft supply to engage students in learning activities.  Be sure to follow along at her blog!  I am linking up today with an activity that incorporates cupcake liners and acrostic poetry!

Bring the taste of spring into your classroom with this pin!  They are super easy to make and require few ingredients. Pretzels, Wilton Candy Melts, and M&M’s are all it takes. Simply place a candy melt on the pretzel, warm in the oven a few minutes, and pop on the M & M flavor/color of your choice. A friend made this for St. Patrick’s Day using mint flavored candy and they were delish!

Forever Freebie

This freebie is dear to my heart because it was so engaging for my students and easily differentiated for students working on a variety of levels.   Kids love hands on projects that focus on real world activities.  We used this activity when we were studying the states of matter.

Below are photos of two ways we used the notebooking activities during our unit of study on matter. This particular activity is included in my Interactive Science Unit: States of Matter. The same printables are provided for the FREE activity!

You can pick and choose which part of the scientific process you want the students to write about and record.  Simply cut out and glue into a notebook!  A word bank is included for students who need this support.
